Mobile Engineer (React Native)
About the Role
Join our mobile team to build the SPECLO app used by thousands of fitness enthusiasts daily. You'll work on features like real-time workout tracking, AI coaching, and seamless equipment pairing. We're looking for someone passionate about mobile UX and performance optimisation.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain our React Native mobile application
- Implement smooth animations and interactions for an exceptional user experience
- Integrate with native device features (HealthKit, Bluetooth, sensors)
- Optimise app performance and reduce battery consumption
- Write comprehensive tests and maintain code quality
- Collaborate with backend engineers on API design
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with React Native
- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with native iOS or Android development is a plus
- Familiarity with mobile app architecture patterns
- Experience with state management (Redux, MobX, or Zustand)
- Understanding of mobile performance optimisation
Nice to Have
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integrations
- Background in fitness or health applications
- Experience with animation libraries (Reanimated, Lottie)
- Published apps in the App Store or Play Store
